Our 1st Annual Vintage Baseball Tournament while still
in the planning stages will be as hollows. The Tournament would be a round robin style tournament which would take
place on Saturday & Sunday (1 & 2 May 2010) The purse will be $500.00 winner take all, this tournament will be based
on weather permissibility. Click on the names of the teams below to go to thier websites, fookbook, or e-mail.
The games will start on the 1st of May 2010 at Coventry
High School located at 40 Reservoir Road in Coventry, Rhode Island. With 4 teams on Saturday & Sunday we will be cutting
down the playing time, while there will still be 4 games on Saturday & Sunday not all of you will be playing 4 games,
looking more like two or three. Again this will be determined by the number of teams that show up, and this is why we
have not put a schedule together yet. Again the prize does not change, with the exception that your odds for winning just
got better. As the bracket stands now the "A" and "B" teams would play at 10AM, the "C" and "D" would play at 12
Noon, the winners of the 10AM & 12Noon would play at 2PM and the losers of the 10AM & 12 Noon would also play at 2PM
but on a different field. The team letters can only be handed out when the teams are here. We will do the same for Sunday.
If teams wish to play more , we can set them up against some re-enactors on one or both days.
This tournament is meant to be enjoyable to all
involved while still having meaning (Honor and the prize). I look forward to seeing a great tournament on the 1st &
2nd of May 2010.
